Senior Vice President - Global Key Accounts Western Union

A.J Hanna is Senior Vice President, Global Key Accounts, at Western Union and is based in London. In this role, he has oversight for Western Union’s Global Key Account Retail distribution network and is currently tasked with implementing the Payment Services Directive sales strategy in the European Union.

A.J is an established senior executive with over 17 years experience in leadership, organizational design, relationship management, strategy, innovative and visionary thinking. He has been with Western Union for a number of years, joining First Data Corporation, the former parent of Western Union in March 1993.

During his career within First Data and Western Union he has held senior management positions in sales, marketing, business and network development and general management in the USA, Canada and Europe, where he has focused on securing key agent contracts, identifying market opportunities and developing the strategies to capitalize on them, as well as creating brand awareness and preference through high impact marketing initiatives, new product development and innovative solutions.
