Emerging Market Retailer of the Year
This category recognises retailers from the emerging markets that clearly demonstrate that they are setting new standards for not only their business but for the fast developing modern retail sector in their own countries. The judges will be looking for examples of innovation and strategic development of the business in response to market conditions as well as robust financial performance.

Etailer of the Year

This important category focuses on the work retailers do to ensure that their brands and organisations deliver to the very highest standards of corporate responsibility and all that it means across the business – from how and what products are sourced and retailed, through to its policies towards its employees, the society they operate in and the impact its business has on the environment. Despite the economic downturn, retailers are in no doubt that this is a vital part of their strategy and undeniably makes for good business.

This category is one of the most popular, with our expert judges having to review a record number of design entries – all of which were of the very highest standard. Retailer of the year
The accolade Retailer of the Year will be awarded to the retailer that has proved it is a world class performer across every aspect of its business. It can be a national or multi national retailer, but overwhelmingly it will be a retailer that can truly be described as having had an exceptional year. There must be evidence of strong financial performance, product and store innovation and proven high customer acceptance.
