The World Retail Congress programme seeks to not only reflect but to also lead the senior retail agenda. This has never been more important than it is today as the industry undergoes enormous transformation. Our retail leaders asked us to see the latest fresh ideas in their sector and we responded by creating the Innovation Studio.
Building on the success over the last two years of the Innovation Lab and Pitch-off, this year’s Congress sees the creation of the Innovation Studio. This interactive and curated lounge on the exhibition floor will not only highlight the latest retail technology but also feature talks from the founders of our start-ups throughout the breaks on their vision of tomorrow’s retail industry. The Studio serves as a focal point for innovation across the three days.
Basic criteria for Start-ups participating in Innovation Studio:
- Should be a retail technology start up idea or a new solution for retail designed to help retail businesses – it is not aimed at start-up retail concepts.
- The solution can be relevant or aimed at any part of the retail business: in-store, online, supply chain, buying, marketing, data analytics etc.
- The start-up should have achieved several rounds of funding and already have retail clients.
