James George, having joined OC&C Strategy Consultants in 1996, is International Managing Partner and previous co-head of OC&C’s International Retail Practice and the Consumer Sector in our London office.
He has substantial experience in both corporate strategy development, transaction-based work and the more operational areas of Retail and FMCG strategy realisation, and enjoys a particular focus on driving profit improvement through strategic and operational redefinition of business models.
Some of James’ most recent work includes:
- Developing branding strategy for merged business with two separate brands, and advising on market segment targets for brands
- Assessing store rollout potential for one of the largest coffeehouse chains in the world, and determining the number and location of potentials sites in the UK
- Analysing current and predicted retail trends to suggest a new operational strategy to enable the retailer to remain profitable in line with new consumer trends and changing supplier needs.
James graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Chemistry.
