Global Vice President of Shopper Marketing and Ecommerce , The Coca-Cola Company
Julie Bowerman brings over 20 years of CPG experience; spending most of her career at Coca-Cola in a variety of marketing, commercial and sales roles. She loves working for the world’s greatest beverage brands. She is currently the Global Vice President of Shopper Marketing and Ecommerce for The Coca-Cola Company. She and her team lead the strategic and commercial development of Coca-Cola’s business in the online channel and play a key leadership role in the digital marketing of their brands. Additionally, she and her team are accountable for the development of Coke’s global capability in Shopper Marketing.
Julie started her career at Coke on the bottling side of the business in the US commercializing Coke’s portfolio of brands. She then moved to Coke North America holding several roles of increasing responsibility in both marketing and commercial functions. For the last few years she has been one of the key leaders at Coke in the development of their digital marketing and ecommerce capabilities. One of Julie’s major accomplishments was building the first ever and largest US CPG loyalty marketing and CRM program, known as My Coke Rewards. Today the program has become a core pillar to how Coke has evolved their approach to reach consumers in a digital world and has resulted in many industry awards.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Julie spent time on the agency side working at J. Walter Thompson. Julie has been awarded with Who’s Who in Shopper Marketing P2Pi, the Tempo Award for lead Loyalty and CRM Initiative, was a Women in Technology Finalist, and received a Best in Class Coca-Cola Worldwide Marketing Excellence Award for Interactive Marketing.
In her spare time, Julie likes to volunteer and is on the board of Christ the King School as Chair of the development committee, is a Georgia State Marketing Leadership Roundtable Participant, has served as an American Marketing Association Executive Advisory Board Member, and has served as a mentor at Coca Cola.
She and her family reside in Atlanta, Georgia in the states. She has her under-graduate from the University of Dayton and post graduate degree from Michigan State University.
