Karl Wehner is Managing Director at Alibaba.com, Alibaba’s global B2B wholesale marketplace,  where he is responsible for setting the company’s business strategy and positioning in Europe. With over 20 years of experience in digital commerce, he supports European companies of all sizes in using Alibaba.com’s AI-powered tools for global sourcing and selling.

He began his career in e-commerce in 1999 at Amazon Germany, where he launched and built the third-party marketplace business. Before joining Alibaba, he established the marketplace for third-party sellers at Takealot.com in Cape Town, now South Africa’s largest e-commerce company.
