Louise Greenlees
Louise has enjoyed a long and varied career in retail with a wide range of businesses from small startups to well-known large retailers in the UK and across Europe. In her early career she gained her experience in buying and merchandising before moving into senior leadership roles.
Louise joined TJX in 2010 as a Managing Director; initially for Homesense, and subsequently for TKMaxx as well. In 2015 she took on the role of President of TJX Europe. Under her leadership the division grew across six markets in Europe and launched a successful online business in the United Kingdom. She had the sensitivity and strategy needed to guide the business through difficult hurdles, from the challenges of Brexit to the distress and disruptions of the Covid pandemic.
In 2022 she took on the international role of SEVP, Group President, leading the business in Europe, Australia, as well as the TJX global buying offices.
She is a constant student and driver of inclusive leadership, deeply committed to development for all and an active champion of culture. She always speaks of how fortunate she was to join TJX, where she felt a strong cultural fit which was key in enabling her success.
In 2023 Louise was recognised for her inclusive leadership by being named ‘Woman of the Year’ at The World Retail Congress in Barcelona.
Her passion for people was reflected in her deeply held support for the TJX's longstanding charitable and many community partnerships across Europe. Louise is passionate about helping underserved communities prosper and become self-sufficient; she championed the development of a sustainable sourcing model to support communities in Uganda, and cofounded and supported an income generation project for homeless families in Bangladesh.
In May 2025 Louise left TJX Companies to focus on new challenges and projects. She continues to support TJX through an advisory role, a position she loves, and also takes on various broad projects to keep her life interesting
